Resident Aalim : Shaikh Hasnain Merchant

based in Cincinnati, Ohio, began his Hawza studies in 2021 and
graduated from Hawza in January 2025. He continues pursuing advanced Islamic seminary
studies with a focus on Quranic sciences, tafsir, theology, spirituality, and contemporary
Islamic thought. Alongside his studies, he remains actively engaged in Islamic research,
youth engagement, public speaking, and community outreach. He also holds an MBA and
MSEE.
Shaikh Hasnain is actively engaged in leading Jumu‘ah prayers, delivering Muharram and
Ramadan lecture series, reciting majalis, and serving the spiritual and religious needs of
the community.

In addition to religious lectures and educational programming, he actively supports the
community through counseling, answering religious questions, outreach initiatives,
premarital guidance, nikah services, and assisting individuals and families with various
faith-based and community needs.
Through service, education, and dialogue, Shaikh Hasnain continues working toward
strengthening faith, connection, and meaningful engagement within the community.
